The Buffalo AFL-CIO Affiliate, Communications Workers of America Local 1122 represents many employees throughout Western New York. One of their member’s is suffering from a very debilitating disease know as Neuroendocrine Immune Disorder. This disease is often misdiagnosed because it shares similar symptoms with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Gulf War Illness, Gulf War Syndrome, Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, and Chronic Lyme Disease.
This member has been unable to perform their job functions for the last two years and is going through some very serious treatment. As Labor we remain hopeful that they will be able to live a long and productive life, as this disease can be fatal.
C.W.A. Local 1122 is holding a charity fund raising golf tournament on Sunday September 13th at Chestnut Hill Country Club. CWA Local 1122 is asking both the Business Community and Union Members to help make this fundraiser a success.
