On Saturday May 5, 2012 at 9:00 AM, the Niagara Orleans Labor Council will once again pay tribute to workers in observance of Workers Memorial Day. Workers Memorial Day is about calling for for heightened awareness and dedication to making sure all workers come home to their families safe and sound after each shift.

 

Last year at the upgraded and improved Niagara Orleans Workers' Memorial in NYS Power Authority's Reservoir Park, Michael McNally, Business Manager of U.A. Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 22, recognized the recent loss of one of his Union Members, Richard Folaron from South Wales. CSEA Local 832 Retiree Richard McIntyre (Rec. Secretary) conducted a roll call of the 52 names of the deceased that have been etched into the memorial.
